The Telangana government is delivering Rs.20 lakh each under the MJPOVN Scheme to those who belong to Backward Classes (BC) and also economically backward class (EBC) who are currently pursuing post-graduation.
This scheme is for those who are suffering from financial issues.
Telangana Mahatma Jyothiba Phule Overseas Scholarship:
- This scholarship is a financial aid initiative for BC and EBC (Economically Backward Classes) learners aiming to pursue higher education abroad.

- Eligible candidates must have finished their undergraduate or postgraduate education at a recognized Indian university and secured admission to a full-time course in a recognized foreign university.

- Financial assistance of Rs.20.00 lakhs is open for BC and EBC students pursuing professional courses like Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Pure Sciences, Humanities, and Social Studies in foreign universities.
- Online applications can be submitted via the Telangana Overseas Scholarship Website (telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in).
- Applicants under 35 years old with an annual income below Rs.5 lakh are qualified.

- The Government of Telangana has greatly invested in providing Post-Matric Scholarship to BC and EBC students on a saturation basis.

Procedure for Selection
The official notification for the Telangana BC Overseas Scholarship will be posted in prominent newspapers, with a special focus on leading dailies, during August/September and January/February of each year.
The announcement seeks to invite applications from eligible candidates and extensive publicity will be carried out on university campuses and the e-PASS portal.

Inclusivity Measures
- 33% of the scholarship awards are earmarked for female candidates, promoting gender inclusivity.

- Learners belonging to Mehtar (Sl. No.39) & Sikligar/Saikalgar (Sl. No.51) of BC-A, Dudekula, Laddaf, Pinjari, or Noorbasha (Sl. No.05) of BC-B are covered by the Minority Welfare Department.
