Eligibility Criteria
Each sort of Aikyashree scholarship has different qualifying conditions, and students must apply for the scholarships according to the level of study they have completed.
Pre-matric Scholarship for West Bengal (SC/ST Students)
To qualify for the scholarship:
- West Bengal must be the student’s home state.
- Class 9 or Class 10 should be the student‘s designated study period.
- The learner must fall into one of the two categories: Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Scheduled Caste (SC).
- The student’s household income should not surpass Rs. 2 lakh per year.
Scholarship for Post-matric in West Bengal
The scholarship is open to applicants who meet the following requirements:
- West Bengal should be the student’s place of residence.
- The student needs to fall into one of the OBC, ST, or SC categories.
- Students enrolled in Classes 11, 12, Graduation, or Post-Graduation are among the eligible ones.
- For OBC students, the yearly family income cannot be more than Rs. 1 lakh; for SC students, it can be up to Rs. 2 lakh; and for ST students, it cannot be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)
To graduate from courses in engineering, medicine, or technical/professional fields (but not general undergraduate or graduate degrees), students need to fulfill the following requirements:
- They must have received at least 75% of their class 10 marks to be eligible to study at the higher secondary level or to pursue a certificate.
- If enrolled in an undergraduate program, students need to have earned at least 75% of their class 12 grades.
- The household income of the student should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh annually.
- Merit-cum-means criteria will be used to grant the scholarships to worthy candidates.
- Students enrolled in state-aided universities’ M.Phil. and PhD programs are also qualified to apply for this grant.
Rewards for Scholarships at Aikyashree
The Aikyashree scholarship money is only given to students who have passed their prior exams with a grade of at least 50%.
Selected students receive the scholarship amount from the State Government fund. The recipients of the scholarship fall into two categories: Day Scholars and hosts.
Application Process
If a student wishes to renew their WBMDFC scholarship, they should follow these steps:
- Visit the official website for All Scholarships (Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, MCM, TSP, SVMCM scholarship).
- Click on the Renewal Application option, which will open a new window.
- Select the district and click OK on the dialogue box displayed on the screen.
- Log in by providing the application ID, date of birth, district, and captcha code.
- Click Login.
- An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the received OTP and submit.
- There will be two options – Renew Application and Withdraw Application. Click on Renew Application.
- Fill in the required details in the registration form, such as name, date of birth, email ID, parent’s name, gender, religion, etc.
- Click on Submit and Next.
- Provide previous and current academic details.
- Click on Submit and Next.
- Verify the bank details, including SC categories, bank and branch name, bank account number, and name on the bank account as per the passbook.
- Check the confirmation box ‘I confirm that the bank account details are correct to the best of my knowledge & belief.’
- Click on Submit and Next.
- Upload the necessary documents along with the form (institute verification certificate).
- Submit the application form by clicking the Submit and Next tab.
- Review all the details before the final submission.
- Click on Submit and Lock Renewal Application tab.
- A popup will appear to confirm if the details are correct. If they are, click on OK.
- Click on Print Renewal Application to obtain a printout of the application.
