Scholarships are available from California’s Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) to assist future nurses.

Overview of HCAI Scholarship
The HCAI Scholarship helps learners who are enrolled in associate degree nursing programs.
These courses get students ready for careers as registered nurses. Eligible candidates may receive up to $8,000 in exchange for a 12-month service commitment that includes direct patient care in underprivileged regions.
Eligibility Criteria
The following criteria must be fulfilled by candidates in order to be eligible for this scholarship:
- Undergraduate students only please.
- Must enroll at a two-year university
- Must not be enrolled in high school right now
- They have to be Californian citizens.
- Need to be pursuing a nursing degree
HCAI Scholarship Details
- Amount: 8,000 or more is awarded
- The lowest sum granted was $8,000.
