The Andrew Ryback Photography and The Plaid Horse Higher Learning Scholarship will return in 2025. Over the past few years, the fund has provided more than $27,500 to individuals pursuing higher education.
Overview of This Scholarship
The Andrew Ryback Photography and Plaid Horse Higher Learning Scholarship is intended for talented high school seniors and current college students. One selected student will receive a $10,000 grant.
“We are looking forward to continuing this program in the coming years and beyond,” expressed Piper Klemm, Ph.D., Publisher of The Plaid Horse.
The award is offered to all current college and trade school students, as well as high school seniors graduating in 2025.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the completed application along with the following:
1. Three-part essay (please fill out sections A, B, and C):
Part A: Why is a horse show photographer important?
Part B: What have you learned about success and failure from your experience as an equestrian?
Part C: Tell us about someone in the horse industry who has inspired you and why.
2. A colored photograph.
3. Provide two letters of recommendation.
4. Unofficial or official high school or college transcripts.
5. An acceptance letter from a college or university.
Note that the deadline for this scholarship opportunity is set for March 31, 2025.
