Overview of Work Ready Ky Scholarship
Adult and high school students seeking an industry-recognized certificate, an associate’s degree in applied science, or a diploma at participating postsecondary institutions can receive tuition aid through the Kentucky Work Ready Scholarship Program.
In 2016, an executive order was used to launch Work Ready KY. In 2017, it was expanded, and in the 2019 legislative session, Kentucky Senate Bill 98 formalized it into law.

For high school students, the scholarship reward is equivalent to the cost of an authorized dual credit course at a qualifying institution. There can only be two authorized dual credit courses awarded.
