Kathmandu Metropolitan Scholarship: Full Guide

Kathmandu Metropolitan Scholarship – For pupils who want to study in institutional schools (private schools) under the scholarship quota in Class 11 for the academic session, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Education Department, Municipal Office, Kamaladi, Kathmandu, announces scholarship notices.

Kathmandu Metropolitan Scholarship

The placement will take place in Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s institutional schools. Only when the scholarship results are released are students asked to enroll. It is informed that students who enroll before the results are released will not be eligible to receive scholarships.

Distribution of Scholarships Seats

The scholarships will be awarded in the following order, taking the 10% scholarship offered by institutional schools as 100%:

  • 40 percent of pupils who attended community schools.
  • 5% for pupils who received financial aid to attend institutional schools.
  • 9% for every student who resides permanently in the Kathmandu Metropolitan Area.
  • 1% of pupils enrolled in local schools live in the areas affected by the dump site.

Minimum Eligibility

  • Obtaining a minimum Secondary Education Examination (SEE) GPA of 1.6.
  • SEE completion from a community college.
  • Completing the SEE by studying in institutional schools with a 10% scholarship.
  • Permanent residency in Dhunibeshi Rural Municipality’s Wards 1, 3, and 4 as well as the directly impacted area from Landfield Side’s Wards 1, 2, and 3.

Documents Required

  • SEE Admit Card
  • Recent passport-sized photo
  • Citizenship certificate or birth registration certificate
  • SEE or equivalent mark sheet and character certificate
  • Recommendation as per Schedule 1 for students studying in community schools
  • Recommendation as per Schedule 2 for students studying on scholarships in institutional schools
  • Required documents for reservation purposes
  • Certificate as per section 7 mentioned in the reserved group in the form for scholarship purposes

The format of the recommendation is attached at the end of this information.

If the provided details are found to be false, the application form of such candidates will be canceled, and they will be expelled from the educational program.
