Scholarships are given out annually to anyone who is interested in studying exhibits and event management in order to progress their careers in this area.
Overview of Helen Brett Scholarship
Helping students who are enrolled in four-year degree programs with an emphasis on exhibition and event management is the goal of the Helen Brett Scholarship.
The program encourages college-level students to pursue the subject of study and provides financial support, thereby promoting the exhibits and events business.
Scholarships are given out in a competitive manner to students pursuing majors in exhibition and/or event management.
If enrolled in a hospitality school, the official transcripts that have been provided should be reviewed in order to determine the exhibits and events business as the topic of study.
Scholarship Criteria
- Must be enrolled full-time in a junior, technical, or accredited college, university, OR as an undergraduate OR graduate student. Applications for graduate school are not eligible for scholarships if their graduate assistant position is completely sponsored by their institution or university or by any other outside financial source.
- Requires enrollment in a degree program with an exhibition, event, or hotel management concentration.
- On a 4.0 scale, a minimum grade point average is 3.0.
- By May 1, 2024, the completed application and any supporting documentation must be submitted online.
- Supporting items contain:
- Your CV
- two recommendation letters from academics and/or prominent figures in the exhibition sector.
- Translation.
- A 500–to 1,000-word essay outlining objectives and ideal positions in the events sector should be submitted.
- There is no option to save for a later time, so please have all supporting documentation available to send at the time of the application process.
Scholarship awards will be determined only by the ratings given by a selection committee made up of IAEE Faculty Advisory Task Force members and staff after they have reviewed and rated the applications.
By July 1st, the scholarship beneficiaries will be revealed. Submissions are accepted from March 1, 2024, until May 1, 2024.
