Overview of College Raptor Scholarship
The College Raptor scholarship is designed to help launch the educational path for thousands of students by simplifying the financial aid process.
It does this by giving students an estimated $2,500 only available to legal US residents who are sixteen (16) years of age or older at the time of application and who plan to enroll in a college, university, or trade school that is accredited for post-secondary education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students (current college students and juniors and seniors in high school) must first register with College Raptor, the college search service, in order to be eligible to enter this tournament.
- Participants have to turn in a 500-word essay on one of the following subjects: 1) How College Raptor aided them in finding the best college for them based on their goals; 2) How costs affected their choice of college and how using College Raptor aided in the search process; 3) How College Raptor assisted them in narrowing down their list of potential colleges; or 4) For students who have already started college, what aspects of the College Raptor match tool would have been most useful to them during their college search process.
- 50% of the selection is determined by the essay, 25% by GPA, and ACT or SAT score (25%).
Selection Process
- Order of selection is based on eligibility decision and application date.
- All other qualifying candidates will be added to a waitlist, and only the top 750 will be evaluated for the scholarship and informed of the winner.
- Students whose names are selected for rewards will have their registrations canceled due to nonpayment.
- The scholarship money will only be used to cover tuition and fees on students’ accounts starting in the fall of 2024.
