Kalia Scholarship – The KALIA initiative was initiated by the Odisha government to support farmers. A KALIA scholarship has now been made available by the same government to assist the offspring of KALIA scheme participants.

About The Kalia Scholarship

The Odisha government’s Agriculture and FE Department is in charge of carrying out the KALIA Yojna and KALIA scholarships. Courses in animal husbandry, agriculture and related sciences, hotel management, pharmacy, and a few more subjects are covered by this scholarship.

The purpose of this scholarship is to make it easier for the offspring of small farmers, landless farmers, and agricultural cultivators to pursue higher education.

Eligibility

  • The program is ineligible for applicants who have accepted admission on a cost-sharing self-financing or NRI basis.
  • A candidate is ineligible to apply if they are pursuing another scholarship.
  • This scholarship can only be used by students for one professional course.
  • They are not eligible to receive funding for a second professional course after receiving one scholarship for a professional course.
  • The candidate needs to be a state permanent resident.
  • The candidate must be a beneficiary’s child under the Kalia Yojana under two separate components, such as cultivator for cultivation and livelihood support for agricultural households without land.
  • The applicant must have been admitted to the state’s government institute based on merit.

  • Caste Certificate of the Student
  • Residence Certificate of the Student
  • Copy of passbook of Bank account with account number and IFSC code of the bank branch
  • Passport-size Photograph of student
  • Ration Card of the Parent or Guardian
  • Beneficiary ID of the parent or guardian
  • Matriculation Certificate of the Student
  • The Marksheet of the last exam passed
