Banishree Scholarship – The Banishree Scholarship 2024, managed by the Government of Odisha, aims to support students facing financial challenges from primary education through post-graduation.

The Banishree Scholarship 2024 aims to prevent student dropouts in Odisha due to financial constraints. It offers scholarships tailored to the student’s educational level, providing monthly support ranging from ₹200 to ₹350.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the requirements listed below:

The candidate needs to be an Odisha resident or enrolled in school there.
A family’s annual income should not exceed ₹60,000.
The student needs to be a consistent learner who has completed all prior courses successfully.
The applicant is not permitted to receive funding from any other scholarships.
The applicant’s family should not include any government employees.

The scholarship amount is contingent upon the educational attainment of the student.

Primary (grades 1 through 5): ₹200 monthly
Intermediate (6th to 8th): ₹250 monthly
9th to 11th grade in high school: ₹250 per month
Monthly cost for college (+2 and +3): ₹300
Monthly Post-Graduation (P.G.): ₹350
The monthly cost for Technical and Vocational training is ₹350
Regular Study Courses for Students Outside of Odisha: ₹250 per Month
