Coolidge Scholarship: The Complete Application Information

The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride presidential scholarship that is offered every year to undergraduate students. It pays for all living expenses throughout the four years of study, including tuition and housing, and board.

This unique award can be applied to any US institution or university that has received accreditation.

Overview of Coolidge Scholarship

With Coolidge Scholarship, Seniors in high school who exhibit the virtues of service and humility are eligible to apply as the Scholarship offers significant financial support.

Applicants with a high academic background who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States are invited.

The Coolidge Foundation will choose two or three new scholarship recipients each year, offering a generous award of $120,000 that can be used to pay for tuition, lodging and board, and other expenses.

The scholarship may be used for any major at any recognized college or university in the United States by the applicant.

The costs for the finalists’ guardian(s) and themselves will be covered for the interview weekend in Vermont. Results are communicated to all applicants by summer.

Scholarship Details

  • A full four years of undergraduate education at any recognized college or institution in the United States is covered by this full-tuition scholarship.
  • Orientation at the Historic Coolidge Site.
  • All finalists will receive an invitation to interview in Plymouth Notch, Vermont, and one visitor will be admitted free of charge.
  • While 100 of the best candidates will be named “Coolidge Senators” and receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the Senators Summit in Washington, D.C., not all applicants will be named Coolidge Scholars.

Eligibility Criteria

  • This scholarship is for juniors in high school who plan to attend full-time in a recognized college or institution in the United States for the fall semester. Seniors in high school might not apply.
  • A citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States must apply.
  • Applications for this prize are not accepted from family members of the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation or the Coolidge Scholars Program.
  • The prize recognizes students who understand and uphold Coolidge’s fundamental principles. While it’s not limited to those wishing to major in public policy or government, candidates should value ambition and respect.
  • Students with a strong dedication to public service and community improvement are the target audience for this scholarship.

Application Process

  1. Fill out the online form as soon as the portal launches in the fall.
  2. Get your certified transcripts forwarded to the Coolidge Foundation directly.
  3. Send in two recommendation letters.
  4. Should you be chosen as a finalist, you will have to make the trip to Vermont for an interview weekend (fees included).
