Gilman Scholarship

Overview of Gilman Scholarship

By providing financial support to undergraduates who might not otherwise be able to study or work abroad, the Gilman Program increases the number of students who study and intern overseas.

The program’s goal is to inspire students to study and intern across a wide range of nations and geographical places.

Additionally, the curriculum promotes language learning among pupils, particularly in subjects thought to be crucial to national security.

For American students interested in studying abroad or pursuing internships abroad for college credit, the program offers up to $5,000.

In order to qualify, candidates must either be receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application or show documentation that they will during the duration of their internship or study abroad program.
