Overview of HSF Scholarship

Funding is available from the Hispanic Scholarship Fund to help students of Hispanic descent complete their higher education.

Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school students, undergraduates, graduate students, and community college students transferring to four-year universities, based on a competitive system.

In addition to being Hispanic or Latino, applicants must plan to enroll full-time in an accredited four-year university or graduate program in the United States, be a citizen, permanent resident, DACA-eligible non-citizen, or have completed the FAFSA if applicable.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Has to be of Hispanic descent.
  • Citizenship in the United States, permanent residency, or DACA.
  • For high school students, a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent); for college and graduate students, a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
  • For the academic year 2024–2025, make plans to enroll full-time in a four-year, accredited US institution or graduate program that is public or not-for-profit.
  • Fill out the state-based financial assistance application or the FAFSA, if appropriate.
