Overview of Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation was established to honor the service and sacrifice of Marines and their families. That’s why we are grateful for your tax-deductible donations.
As our Nation’s oldest and largest provider of need-based scholarships to military children, the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation helps cover the cost of attending post-high school, undergraduate, and career and technical education programs.

Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, verify your eligibility.
- You must be the kid or stepchild of one of the following:
1. Active duty, reserve, or veteran US Marines
2. A marine died while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.
3. Active duty, reserve, or veteran U.S. Navy corpsmen, chaplains, or religious program specialists attached to or died while serving with a U.S. Marine Corps unit must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.00. - For the 2022 tax year, applicants must demonstrate financial need with a family-adjusted gross income of $117,000 or less.
- Must attend or plan to attend a recognized school eligible for federal aid.
- Must submit a full application with all relevant documentation by the deadline.
If you or your sibling have already received a scholarship award, you are not promised another.
You may be asked to give information and/or documentation that differs from your previous or sibling’s applications.
