The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is presently accepting applications for its 2024 foreign and local scholarships from eligible Nigerians. The deadline for NDDC Scholarship applications is November 8, 2024.
The Niger Delta Development Commission, also known as the NDDC, is resuming its Foreign Post Graduate Scholarship Program to provide our youth with the education and training necessary to engage in the Federal Government’s local content program and to specialize in their fields of study, enabling them to compete globally in a range of professional fields.
The program is open to applicants in the following subjects, provided they fulfill the prerequisites and have a suitable bachelor’s degree from an authorized university
NDDC Scholarship 2024 for Undergraduate
All eligible and qualified candidates who wish to apply for the undergraduate scholarship under the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) guardianship should wait patiently; we will update this page as soon as the portal is officially opened. The application form for the NDDC Scholarship 2024 for Undergraduates is not yet available.
Eligibility For NDDC Scholarship
- Rivers State, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, or Ondo are the only native states that qualify.
- A first degree with at least a 2nd Class Lower Division is necessary for those wishing to attend a Master’s program, and a solid Master’s degree from an approved university is required for PhD candidates.
- Applicants must have been admitted to a foreign university’s post-graduate program in one of the aforementioned subjects.
- A candidate must not be enrolled in an international university at the time of application.
- A member of the National Assembly or State House of Assembly, the chairman of the Local Government Authority (LGA), a distinguished traditional ruler, a high court judge, or any other member of the applicant’s community or clan may act as a guarantor by submitting a written statement attesting to the applicant’s good behavior.
- The award will not be presented to anyone with a criminal record, including convictions, or proof of involvement in a cult.
- The candidates must have completed the necessary National Youth Service (NYSC).
NDDC Scholarship 2024 Requirements
- Application online through the Commission’s website
- Candidates are restricted based on their undergraduate degree (1st Class/Second Class Upper) from WASSCE or NECO.
- Each Niger Delta State will have a consultant deliver the computer-based test for local government identification. There will be assessments of I.Q. in general paper, maths, and English.
- Score at least 70% on the test.
- They will only list the most eligible candidates.
- Last but not least, the Community Development Committees and Local Government Areas will carry out the verification process.

- To access the scholarship, click on the publication there.

Note:
Residents of Niger Delta States have the opportunity to study abroad for a Master’s or PhD thanks to the Niger Delta Development Commission.
