We invite high school students to apply to the Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest if they wish to test their inventiveness and sense of style.
This is made possible by Duck Brand Duct Tape, a business that has been providing excellent duct tape for many uses—including the production of formal wear.
Overview of Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest
Students in high school and homeschooling who design and don prom clothes solely composed of Duck Brand Duct Tape are eligible to enter the Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest! Students are only allowed to enter the contest individually.
Each person is required to design and don prom apparel, which includes a whole dress or tuxedo, as well as accessories fashioned with Duck brand craft tape and/or duct tape.
In addition to Duck brand duct tape, other materials could be employed or included in the design. It is not necessary for you to attend prom in order to get admitted.
You have to send in a minimum of one color, high-resolution photo, essay, or video of yourself dressed in your Duck Tape prom attire.
Support from friends and/or family is allowed when creating the prom attire; however, paid professionals cannot participate in any way.
Eligibility Information
This scholarship is open to students meeting the below eligibility criteria.
- Grade Level: Students in high school are qualified.
- Citizenship: Citizens of the United States, Canada, and Permanent Residents.
- Academic Interests: Fashion Design; Visual and Performing Arts.
Eligible Participants may enter the Contest as:
(1) One person only (the “Entrant”). A complete dress (the “Dress Category”) or a complete tuxedo with a jacket, shirt, and pants (the “Tux Category”), along with accessories produced with Duck® brand duct tape and/or Duck® brand crafting tape (the “Duck Tape® Prom Attire”), must be created and worn by each entrant.
(2) Contestants are required to submit a minimum of one (1) photo of themselves wearing Duck Tape® prom attire; the contestant may choose where to take the shot.
Any entry as such may be disqualified at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. While family and/or friends may lend a hand in designing the prom outfit, paid professionals are not allowed to take part in any capacity.

Documents Required
The following must be submitted by the Entrant when they access the Entry form:
(i) at least one(1), but no more than five(5), professionally or amateur-taken color images with a high resolution (300 DPI) Participant Donning Duck Tape® Prom Gear,
(ii) the first and last names, addresses, phone numbers, email address, state or province, nation, zip or postal code, age, high school or home school association information, and other details required on the entry form for each participant.
(iii) textual information about their attire as asked on the entry form, or submit a video that complies with the guidelines on the entry form and includes the information requested about their attire.
(iv) a photographer release form needs to be acquired from the photographer and uploaded along with the entry if the photo submission is professional.
By ticking the box on the Entry form, entrants attest that they have read and accepted the Official Rules. All contest submissions must be made in English.
To be eligible, each Contest Entry must have all of its components submitted online in compliance with these Official Rules and received before the Entry Period. Only entries into online contests. There will be no acceptance of entries via any other means.
