Tea Tribe Scholarship: Eligibility and How to Apply

Tea Tribe Scholarship – The department responsible for administering the Tea Tribes Welfare and Adivasi Department is the Directorate of Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare (TTWD).

The Directorate administers a wide range of programs, including grants for women’s self-help groups, skills and entrepreneurship, start-up funds for self-employment activities, and scholarships for school-going and college-bound students.

As a result, TTWD requests submissions from different Adivasi and Tea Tribe stakeholders each year to conduct welfare and scholarship programs. Beginning with the 2020–21 fiscal year, the directorate has implemented the SIRISH portal online application system to eliminate the laborious paperwork.

Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified to apply for any of the TTWD’s welfare and scholarship programs, applicants must meet the requirements listed below.

Candidate residency requirements: The candidate must be an Adivasi or Tea Tribe member and a permanent resident of Assam.
Bank account: Applicants need to have an active bank account.
Caste certificate: TGL/EX-TGL caste certificates are required of candidates.
Family income: The annual income of the candidates’ families should not exceed 5.00 lakh. The parent or guardian must submit an undertaking in the prescribed format on this.

How to Apply

Interested and qualified candidates can apply online here to be considered for the TTWD Scholarship. They can apply online by following the instructions listed below.

Select the link for the online application form.
You will be sent to a new page; select “Don’t have an account? Click the “Register” button. After entering your basic information, click the “Register” button.
Click the Online Application Form link once again, then log in.
You will receive a list of all available scholarships and schemes as soon as you log in. Choose the appropriate plan.
Please include all of your academic and personal information, as requested.
After uploading all the necessary documents, click the submit button.
