Overview of Tech Addiction Awareness Scholarship
Tech Addiction Awareness Scholarship helps students understand the negative effects of too much screen time and it is meant for high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors; current or entering college or graduate school students of any level.
Eligibility Information
This award is offered to students who meet the following eligibility requirements.
- This competition is accessible to U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are high school, undergraduate, or graduate students.
- Applicants must submit a 140-character essay on the detrimental impacts of excessive screen usage.
- Finalists are chosen based on the content of their essays.
- The ten finalists are then invited to write an essay of 500 to 1,000 words on the same subject.
- The winner is chosen based on the essay’s topic and ingenuity.

To apply for this prize, students must complete an online application and write a 140-character statement on their technology addiction. They only accept online applications.
The winner is awarded a $1,500 scholarship, while the runner-up receives a $500 prize. The ten finalists are chosen based on the content of the 140-character note.
