Swami Vivekananda Scholarship – The state of West Bengal has distinguished itself in the rich history of India’s educational system. The West Bengal government launched scholarship programs at various levels of higher education within state-run educational institutions to assist deserving students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in continuing their education.

  • Candidates must be West Bengal residents at all times.
  • One of the following must be the regular mode of study for students:
  • West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, and Madrasa Education for Higher Secondary level offer classes 11 and 12.
  • Undergraduate courses in Science/Arts/Commerce, Engineering, Medicine, and Technical/Professional subjects from West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTVE&SD)-affiliated institutes that have been approved by the AICTE
  • Postgraduate courses in Science, Arts, Commerce, and Technology and Management from any State University or West Bengali institution approved by the AICTE that are recognized by the government
  • M.Phil. and PhD programs offered by state-aided universities (NON-NET Junior Research Fellow and NET-Lectureship).
  • The applicant’s eligibility for the scholarship program is contingent upon meeting the specified academic requirements.
  • The applicant’s total family income cannot exceed ₹2,50,000 annually.

Use these procedures to apply for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship this year:

  • Go to www.svmcm.wbhed.gov.in, the official website of the SVMCM (Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship).
  • In the event that this is your first application, you must first register. On the homepage, click the Registered button in the upper-right corner.
  • You now have to choose between the Topeer and Non-Topeer categories.
  • Choose Application Types (in your case, Fresh Application) on the subsequent page. Once “apply for fresh” has been chosen, click “proceed.”
  • The screen will display a form. Enter all necessary information, including your name, address, phone number, and stream.
  • Upload the necessary file in the designated format, such as a mark sheet, etc.
