The title “DTE Scholarship” is more general and consists of two primary scholarships: Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna, Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh, and Shahu Maharaj Yojna Nirvah Bhatta

MahaDBT – Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Scholarships

Scholarships are available from this department to Maharashtra students who want to study medicine or similar fields. For students wishing to apply to government-aided, corporation-aided, or private unaided colleges for MBBS, BDS, nursing, etc., two scholarship programs repay course fees.

Application Process for MahaDBT

Application Process Applicants may apply for the DTE scholarship through the Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal, which is a special platform managed by the Maharashtra government to assist its citizens in taking advantage of the various schemes offered on it. 

As of the academic year 2018–19, possessing an Aadhaar number is a requirement to apply for any scholarship scheme through the portal. Applicants are recommended to carefully read the instructions and familiarize themselves with all the requirements before completing the scholarship application.

1: Applicants need to go to the Aaple Sarkar DBT Portal, the official website.

2: Select a scholarship by clicking on Post Matric Scholarship, and then click “New Applicant Registration.”

3: Register and provide the necessary data.

 4: To finish the registration, provide your mobile number and email address. For email verification, select “Get OTP for Email ID Verification”; for mobile number verification, select “Get OTP for Mobile Number Verification.” 

Note: Verification of your email address and mobile number is required.

5: After successfully registering, sign in with your password and registered email address.

6: After logging in successfully, enter your Aadhaar number information and continue.

Step 7: Candidates must verify the authenticity of their Aadhaar number. There are two different kinds of authentication.

OTP: If the applicant has registered their mobile number with Aadhar, they can select this authentication type. If not, they can select OTP Biometric: If the applicant has not registered their mobile number with Aadhaar, they can select this authentication type.

Applicants must confirm their Aadhaar number for MahaDBT.

8: Click “Send OTP” after entering the Aadhaar number. After verifying the Aadhaar number, the system generates an “OTP” and transmits it to the registered cellphone number. After entering the OTP, press the “OK” button. The application details obtained from UIDAI will automatically populate the personal information, address information, bank information, etc. following the successful OTP verification.

9: The applicants can now view the dashboard with the list of available scholarships.

10: To begin a new application, choose the scholarship you want to apply for and click the “Apply” button.

11: Fill out the profile with all the required details.

12: After updating their profile, candidates can search for the scholarship they want to apply for under the departments on the MahaDBT portal by visiting the ‘All Schemes’ area.

13: A list of possible scholarship programs will show up. To apply for a scholarship, choose it.

14: A form for application will show up. Complete all required fields and attach any supporting files (if not already uploaded).

15: At last, send in your application.

MahaDBT Documents Needed

It is recommended that students consult the MahaDBT portal for specific documentation needed for the scholarships offered under various departments. The following is a list of common documents that are required for the application:

  • Certificate of domicile
  • Certificate of income (from Tehsildar)
  • SSC and HSC diplomas
  • Enrollment slip or Aadhar card fee receipt
  • A legitimate college certificate attesting to the candidate’s enrollment in a specific university
  • Certificate of caste validity and CAP allotment letter (relevant for Scholarships from the Department of Technical Education and Department of Higher Education)
  • Certificate of hosteling (if relevant)
